Zach Daniel is an Emmy Award-winning Meteorologist working for WTVR in Richmond, Virginia as a Chief Meteorologist. He joined the station in November 2007.

Daniel works for WTVR as a Chief Meteorologist. He forecasts the weather on weeknights on CBS 6 at 4, 5, 5:30, 6, and 11. Having spent six years working in Oklahoma City, he is no stranger to severe and unusual weather. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Geography from The University of Georgia.
From The University of Oklahoma, he earned his B.S. degree in Meteorology. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. Daniel has received many awards during his time in Richmond, including 14 Emmy wins and 23 Emmy nominations.
His 14 Emmy wins include 8 “Best Weather Anchor” titles (2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2022). Daniel is the author of two children’s books with Walter and Stanley as the main characters.
When he is free, he enjoys snowboarding, serving as a board member for the American Cancer Society, running, playing golf, tennis, and spending time with his family.
He works as a forensic meteorologist and has worked on numerous cases involving weather in the Mid-Atlantic as an expert witness generating forensic weather reports.
