Samuels works as an Evening News Anchor at WTVR. She is happy and honored to be back home reporting good news stories. Samuels was born and brought up in Henrico County, which is why it’s a dream come true to be back in her hometown, as a Community Anchor!
She has been in the entertainment and broadcasting industry for more than twenty years as a producer, anchor, host, emcee, and freelance reporter. Prior to coming to Richmond, she worked r for an ABC affiliate news station in Southern West Virginia for 10 months as the evening anchor and producer.
Also, she was a producer, freelance anchor, and reporter for Prince George’s County CTV-News in Maryland and County CTV-News in Maryland and a producer for the Office of Cable Television as a host. She hosted and anchored other shows such as “The Sound” in Washington DC and “SchoolScene” in Fairfax, Virginia.
Samuels was in-game host for the NFL’s Washington Commanders where she emceed various events for the burgundy and gold. She’s also a retired In-Arena host for the AFL’s Baltimore Brigade, the WNBA’s Washington Mystics, and the NBA’s Washington Wizards.
She attended the University of Richmond where she was a CIGNA Scholar, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Rho Mu Chapter Charter Member, and cheerleader for four years. When she’s not working, she spends time with her family.
