Bree Sison Career
Sison is the anchor and investigator at CBS 6. She joined the station after traveling the country professionally for more than ten years as an anchor and investigative reporter.
Sison earned a scholarship to study mass communications and politics at Virginia Commonwealth University. An internship at WTVR in 2006 established her career in TV news.
She worked at WMBB in Panama City, Florida as a one-man-band reporter and anchor for three years. After working for WEAR in Pensacola as the morning anchor, she reported the Gulf Oil Spill of 2010 from the ground and from the air.
Sison worked as a General Assignment Reporter and anchor at WBZ, the CBS-owned station for four years. At that time, she reported approximately 75 snow storms too many, a Patriots Super Bowl win, Deflategate, the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, a Red Sox World Series win, recovery, the case against Aaron Hernandez, a deadly nationwide meningitis outbreak, and the Boston Marathon bombings, manhunt.
She worked as an integral part of a news team that received a National EMMY for breaking news, in 2014. Sison has also been recognized with many awards from groups in the communities she’s lived and volunteered.
From George Washington University, she holds a Master’s Degree in Political Management. Before coming back to Richmond, she worked in Birmingham, Alabama, home of the 20th Special Forces Group as an evening anchor and investigative reporter.
