Stella Sun is an American Meteorologist /Anchor/Reporter working for KPNX 12 News as a Weekday morning traffic and weather anchor/reporter. She joined the station in November 2022.

She was chosen as the best reporter in 2022 by the readers of New Mexico’s largest newspaper, the Albuquerque Journal. Prior to that, worked at KTMF in Missoula, Montana where she began reporting and weather forecasting.

In 2023 she will be done with schooling. She graduated from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University. There, she double majored in broadcast news and global politics and obtained a minor in global studies.

Sun was raised in the greater Seattle area. When she’s not working, she loves spending too many hours binging her favorite TV shows, eating out, and traveling. Sun enrolled in meteorology classes through Mississippi State University while in Missoula.
