Garcia kick-started her career working in Rio Grande Valley located in South Texas where she was working for the ABC(KRG-Ch 5). There, she was working as a Cameron County bureau chief. She had also been featured in the Los Angeles Times for having been the first-morning news anchor in Los Angeles to broadcast an entire live morning newscast from home during the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic. Garcia has also been to be a guest host for the Rachael Ray and features one of her favorite recipes. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family and rescue dog, in addition to traveling.
