Abrams is an On-Camera Meteorologist working for The Weather Channel in Atlanta, Georgia. She launched her career as a morning meteorologist at WTXL, the ABC affiliate in Tallahassee, Florida. In July 2003, she commenced her on-air tenure with The Weather Channel, initially serving as a reporter and filling various roles until 2005. It was in that year that she assumed her first show, Weekend View, co-hosting duties. Subsequently, in 2006, she became an on-camera meteorologist, co-hosting Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecast. She continued her collaboration with co-host Mike Bettes on Weather Center.

Starting from July 20, 2009, Abrams co-anchored Wake Up With Al alongside Al Roker on weekday mornings, with broadcasts originating from NBC studios in New York. In addition to her role on Wake Up With Al, she occasionally stood in for Roker on Today and joined Sam Champion on America’s Morning Headquarters (AMHQ). During the 2010 Winter Olympics, she and Roker provided live reports from Vancouver from February 8 to 28, contributing to both Wake Up With Al and AMHQ.

After Wake Up With Al concluded in 2015, Abrams resumed her work from The Weather Channel’s studios in Atlanta. Notably, in 2012, she stepped in as the interim weather anchor on Weekend Today, filling in when Bill Karins and Janice Huff temporarily left, until the arrival of Dylan Dreyer. She co-hosted The Weather Channel programs On The Radar from 2012 to 2013 and Morning Rush (formerly known as Your Weather Today) on weekdays from 2009 to 2014. Currently, Abrams co-hosts AMHQ with Jen Carfagno and Jim Cantore.
