He’s also served as the host for over a dozen documentaries featured on The Weather Channel, known as “The Weather Channel Explores.” In 2010, he reported from Iraq after Operation Iraqi Freedom and even produced an Emmy Award-winning documentary about the war.
Currently, Malkoff holds the position of Chief Environmental Correspondent at The Weather Channel, where he provides in-depth coverage of major weather events, as well as reporting on science and technology developments. His insights and reporting can frequently be seen on The Today Show, MSNBC, CNBC, CNBC Europe, and NBC television stations across the country. Before his role with The Weather Channel, he was a reporter for KTLA in Los Angeles, California, where he presented his daily “Malkoff on a Mission” segments at 10 PM, known for their tech-focused content.
In April 2007, he joined KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV, the CBS-owned stations on the West Coast-based in Los Angeles. His extensive feature stories were often featured in the “6:15 Spotlight” segment on KCBS’s weekday evening newscast.
