She became part of The Weather Channel team in March 2013, following her role as the morning meteorologist at FOX Carolina in Greenville, SC. Her earlier experience included a two-year stint at WOWK-TV and WVNS-TV in Huntington, WV.

During her academic journey at Penn State, she received several scholarships and awards, including the AMS John R. Hope Endowed Scholarship in Atmospheric Science (endowed by The Weather Channel), the Joel N. and Peggy Myers Scholarship in Meteorology (from the PSU Department of Meteorology), and the John and Elizabeth Holmes Teas Scholarship (from the PSU College of Earth and Mineral Sciences).
