Prior to her role at KMTV, Serese held anchor positions for the morning and midday newscasts at WOWT in Omaha for a substantial nine-year tenure.
She also lent her anchoring expertise to the evening news at KOLN-KGIN in Lincoln. Before making her mark in Nebraska, Serese worked as a reporter in various locations, including Kansas City, MO; Wilmington, North Carolina; and Tallahassee, Florida. Her educational journey led her to Florida A&M University, where she graduated with honors.
Throughout her career, Serese has garnered recognition for her outstanding news writing and reporting, earning awards from prestigious institutions such as the Nebraska Associated Press, Nebraska Broadcasters Association, and the North Carolina Associated Press. Her belief in being a blessing to others has led her to active involvement with several community organizations in the Metro area. Currently, she serves on the Susan G. Komen Advisory Board.
