She had previously spent 8 months working at WGMC-TV based in Worcester, MA where she served as a reporter from November 2001 to June 2002.
Since she started her journalism career, she has won several awards and honors including a 2013 Peabody Award, a 2014 Columbia DuPont Award, and several nominations for Boston/New England Emmy Awards. In 2005, she received a regional RTNDA Edward R. Murrow Award among many other honors. She has covered tons of major stories and events including The 2011 Royal Wedding in London, England as well as the Republican and Democratic National Conventions (’04 and ’16). She also enclosed many New Hampshire Primaries and also interviewed first lady Michelle Obama at the White House.
Paula covered the three-city visit of Pope Francis to the United States, the Canonization of the Popes in Rome, and co-anchor Championship Parades for Boston Celtics, The Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and the Boston Bruins. She is also an active member of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Boston’s foremost agency helping the homeless, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and at-risk youth.
