Before working at WBZ-TV|CBS Boston, she worked at CBS Newspath based in Washington, D.C. where she served as a correspondent. Since she started her journalism career, she has covered many major news events and stories as well as interviewed many of the area’s newsmakers.
She has won many awards and honors including a 2013 George Foster Peabody Award and a 2014 Columbia DuPont Award for covering the Boston Marathon Bombings. In 2014 and 2016, she won an Emmy Award for Best News Anchor as well as an Edward R. Murrow Award for reporting. Boston Magazine honored Lisa as “Best TV Personality” and one of Boston’s “100 Most Influential People” in 2020. She is also an active volunteer in her community and is part of several nonprofit organizations and charities.
Lisa also serves on the development board at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. She is also serving on the board of directors of Big Sister Boston and is a volunteer at Children’s Hospital Boston, Project 351, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester. She helped raise money for Dana Farber Cancer Institute in 2011 by riding the annual Pan-Mass Challenge. Previously, in 2002, Lisa ran the Boston Marathon for the American Liver Foundation.
Prior to working at WBZ-TV, she worked at KIRO-TV in Seattle where she served as a reporter and weekend anchor. She previously worked at KBCI-TV in Boise, Idaho where she served as the main anchor and reporter.
