Previously, from December 2005 to August 2022, he worked at WSLS based in Roanoke, Virginia where he served as a meteorologist, news anchor, and investigative special project producer.
Prior to working at WSLS, he worked at Career Break in Asheboro, North Carolina where he assisted parents with family business from August 2005 to December 2005. He had previously spent 4 years and 3 months working at KSWO-TV based in Lawton, Oklahoma where he served as the chief meteorologist. On joining KSWO-TV in June 2001, he started off by serving as a morning meteorologist.
