Nicco is a News Weekday Dayside Meteorologist for ABC7 KGO-TV since January 2022. He joined the station as a Morning Meteorologist in 2007. While at the station in his 15 years, he provided timely and accurate weather information during their Morning and Midday shows.
Previously before joining ABC7, Mike worked at KGO-810AM in San Francisco Bay Area where he served the station as a Morning and Midday Meteorologist from 2012 to 2015. Prior to KGO-810AM, he worked at KMSP FOX 9 in Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area where he served as a Weekend Meteorologist from December 2003 to December 2006.
Before coming to Minneapolis, Nicco served as a Morning Meteorologist at WBTVWBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina Area from June 2001 to December 2006. Prior to moving to Charlotte, Mike worked at KARK 4 in Little Rock Metropolitan Area as a Morning Meteorologist from March 1997 to June 2001.
Mike got interested in the weather after an encounter with the second-strongest category tornado. Which was then rated as an F4 tornado (207-260 mph winds) ripped a path through his hometown. Nicco’s family wasted no time assuming the safety position in the basement. Although that was a frightening experience for most, it was a career-awakening experience for Mike. At the young age of six, Mike’s curiosities were piqued with an immediate goal of understanding how this tornado could level one house to its foundation, while not even touching another house just a few feet away.
