In November 2023, Finlay shared that his dog named Banks passed away after battling cancer – cancer had made it increasingly hard for him to eat. Once a picky eater, Banks eventually became unable to eat at all, and despite efforts to care for him, his condition worsened. On his final night, even a treat of bacon – something Finlay believed he fully deserved – he could not be stomached. Knowing there was no other option, Finlay and his wife made the painful decision to put Banks down – it was a moment he described as heartbreaking and unforgettable.
