He is a proud graduate of Lyndon State College located in Vermont where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology in the year 2007. He later kick-started his career working as a meteorologist for WABI0TV in Bangor, Maine. Dutra is a recipient of the Seal of Approval which he earned from the National Weather Association(NWA).
