Additionally, Rayn’s uncle, Tony Chiaverini, was fighting for Sugar Ray Leonard in a nationally televised super weight bout at the Caesars Palace in the year 1979.

He is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado located in Boulder where he was majoring in Broadcast Journalism and where he also played strong safety for the Buffalo football team. Prior to joining the Wind City team, he had joined the ABC7 team working as a sports reporter/fill-in anchor in the month of March 2006.
Later he was promoted to being the sports anchor on the weekend sports newscasts. He later auditioned for the show and was lucky to have been chosen for the top co-host position from a field of several hundred candidates. His ease as an interviewer and charm were identified when he hosted ABC7’s Bears’ pre-game show, THE CHICAGO HUDDLE.

He has had the privilege to interview among the biggest names in the industry of sports, music, and entertainment which includes Jane Lynch, Chance the Rapper, Joe Maddon, Barry Manilow, Bonnie Hunt, Patrick Kane, and Mike Tyson, Kerry Woods, Will Ferrell, and Jimmy Kimmel. Among his most memorable moments and memories includes being able to play football with his twin brother in both high school and college.
