Carrigan serves WCSH as a reporter at NEWS CENTER Maine where he specializes in political reporting from Augusta. Previously, he served the station as the State House bureau chief. He joined the station in February 2003. Additionally, he debuted his broadcasting career when he served in radio throughout college.
After college, he went on to serve WLBZ-TV in Bangor as an anchor, reporter, and photographer. Moreover, he served WLBZ 2 and WCSH 6 for just about 18 years. Ultimately, he became the 6 p.m. anchor and News Director for WLBZ 2. In 1991, he went on to serve on the staff of U.S. Senator Bill Cohen where he worked on diverse matters impacting Maine.
In 1994, he rejoined broadcasting and served Maine Public Television as an executive producer of public affairs. In addition, he anchored the weekly, MaineWatch, and monthly, Capitol Connection programs. While there, he served as a moderator for numerous political debates and produced various documentaries and other specials. Moreover, he serves as the Midcoast bureau reporter for both WLBZ-TV and WCSH. Further, he broadcasts political campaigns and other matters.
