Further, she served the station for more than 3 decades prior to decades. Before her retirement, she served as a co-anchor of the noon, 5:30, and 6 p.m. newscasts.

Nonetheless, her career began when she served WDAM-TV, the NBC affiliate in Laurel and Hattiesburg, Mississippi. In January 1990, she served as a replacement for Jan Fox as an anchor on the six o clock newscasts. Further, she served alongside co-anchor Pat Callaghan, sports anchor Bruice Glasier, and Meteorologist Joe Cupo.

The team stayed together till it disbanded in 2012 when Glasier retired. On a side note, the team was the most viewed anchor team in the state of Maine since it was created in 1990. Later, Cupo retired in April 2016. In her quarter-century with WCSH, she anchored the 12-noon broadcasts and co-anchor with Pat Callaghan at 5 and with Rob Caldwell at 5:30.

Prior to Maine, she served as a reporter for TV stations in Mississippi and New Hampshire. While in Maine, she secured awards from the Associated Press and the Maine Association of Broadcasters for her broadcasts.

“These last two years have been more than trying for all of us. Nothing like a worldwide pandemic to give us all pause. Add two spinal surgeries into the mix and I’ve had a lot of time to think. COVID has been a period of reassessment for many of us. The bottom line for me: it’s time for me to make a change. I work with some of the most amazing, passionate, driven, and caring people I have ever known. So lucky. And for 32 years, I’ve had the privilege of your trust which has meant more than I can possibly say.” She wrote. Also, she anchored her last broadcast on December 17th, 2021.

I am calling it a career, folks. It has been phenomenal … the greatest fun of my life. It’s all positive, and I am beyond grateful for all these years.” she declared during her last broadcast. Also, she underwent two spinal surgery to improve stability and reduce pain.
