Anthony Wilson is an American Anchor/Reporter working with the ABC11 News Team as a Weekend Morning co-anchor and Weekday Morning Reporter since 1993. Prior to this, he was also working as a reporter and as a substitute anchor for the WXII located in Winston-Salem where he worked for about three years.

While there, he was covering the state legislature and a filed series of documentaries about the manufacture and marketing of assault weapons, the Miami riots, homelessness in South Florida, and the “Official English” movement, among other issues affecting the people living in that state.
Additionally, he was also working as a host and anchor with the National Public Radio weekly newsmagazine titled “Crossroads.” He was also a newswriter for all-news radio station WINS located in New York City and an electronic media producer for the national communications office of the Episcopal Church which is still in New York. There, he was traveling to South Africa in order to cover the enthronement of Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Wilson is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists and a former broadcast vice-president of the Triangle Association of Black Journalists. This is in addition to being the lead instructor of NABJ’s annual four-day short course for aspiring journalists at North Carolina A&T University located in Greensboro, NC.
Additionally, he is working at developing more minority journalists through his participation in the Unity: Journalists of the Color mentor program.
