Previously, he also worked for WTVD News in Raleigh, North Carolina serving the team as a Reporter and Fill-in Anchor. Vanessa began her on-air career serving as a Reporter for KOSA in West Texas. This is in addition to working for CBS7 in Odessa, Texas serving the team as a Morning Anchor/Reporter. There, he worked between December 2000 and December 2004.
Some of his favorite parts of the job include giving back to the communities she covers. In addition to this, she has a heart for service and is actively involved with the American Red Cross of Massachusetts, Boston Partners in Education, Make-A-Wish, Veterans Inco., the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and the New England Chapter of JDRF. This is in addition to serving on the board of BUILD Greater Boston. This is a youth entrepreneurship program serving under-resourced communities.
In the course of his journalism career, he has been privileged to receive two Boston/New England Emmy Awards for Best Anchor. Asides from this, she stated that she is humbled by the opportunity to serve New Englanders and to be a trusted news source.
