Growing up Ryan always had a keen interest in the weather. While in college he got his first job at Quinte Broadcasting in Belleville, Ontario where he read and wrote weekend newscasts. After his graduation, he joined Wolf 101.5 in Peterborough, Ontario, where he worked as a morning radio show co-host. Afterward, he became a Weather Specialist at CHEX-TV in Peterborough in 2006.
In June 2008, Snoddon joined CBC Newfoundland and Labrador, “one of the stormiest and most beautiful places on earth.” While there he spent 10 years at CBC Newfoundland and Labrador before moving to Halifax in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to work as a meteorologist. He is endorsed by the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society and was awarded the seal of approval for Broadcast Meteorology from the National Weather Association.
