Afterward, he joined Northwestern University where he graduated in 1988 with a master’s degree in arts in Radio and Television. He also studied meteorology at Mississippi State University.

Konrad is a weather anchor for Chicago’s top-rated WGN Morning News from 6 to 10 a.m. He is a nine-time Emmy Award-winning television weather anchor. He joined WGN-TV after working in newsrooms in Tampa Bay, Montgomery, Alabama, and Chicagoland Television News (CLTV). He also hosts a semi-weekly segment called “Courtesy Desk” where he takes viewer suggestions and ideas and passes them along to his on—air colleagues for approval, and occasionally, disapproval.
Paul also takes pride in hosting the weekly “Friday Forecaster” segment which features an elementary school-aged child forecasting the weather on live TV every Friday on WGN Morning News. Konrad is also responsible for engineering a Social Media engagement strategy that regularly reaches up to a million people per week.
