Bair is a News Anchor for WGN-TV Midday News. Besides being an Emmy award-winning journalist she is also a medical reporter for the “Medical Watch” segments on WGN Midday News, WGN Evening News, and WGN News at Nine. She joined the station in September 1994 as a full-time general assignment reporter. From December 1994 to December 1999 Dina anchored the WGN Weekend Morning News.
In the year 2013 Dina traveled to Italy to cover the election of the new Pope where she reported live from Vatican City. Before joining WGN-TV Bair worked as an anchor and reporter for CLTV in Oak Brook. Prior to joining CLTV Dina worked as an anchor, reporter, and producer for WHOI-TV in Peoria. She also served at WMAQ-TV in Chicago as a field producer.
For both anchoring and reporting Bair has received numerous awards including nine Emmy awards, multiple Associated Press awards, and a Peter Lisagor award from the Society of Professional Journalists. She was also named a Fellow by the National Press Foundation for the “Cancer Issues” seminar in Washington D.C.
Dina is a tri-athlete. She enjoys boxing, competitive ballroom dancing, lifting weights, and running. She is a founding Board member of the breast cancer charity One in a Million: Dancing With Chicago Celebrities. She also leads a media running team devoted to raising funds for charity. Bair is also involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, American Cancer Society, LUNGevity, The National Italian American Foundation, and Respiratory Health Association. Dina is an Advisory Board Member for Saleh Freedom, a movement to aid victims of sex trafficking.
