Horton serves as the 4 p.m. weather forecaster alongside Yetta Gibson and Derek Staahl at Arizona’s Family. In addition to this role, he is also the host of a weekly segment called Pay It Forward. Prior to working at Arizona’s Family, he worked at CBS 5 where he served as the morning meteorologist and as the host of the station’s morning show. During his tenure working at CBS5, he did thousands of live shots all across that state and worked in different roles including as a reporter.
Prior to working at CBS5, he worked at a station in Cincinnati and Spokane where he served as a weather anchor. Horton went to George Fox University where he graduated from the communication and broadcasting program. He later on joined Mississippi State University where he attained his Bachelor’s degree in meteorology.
Over the years, Horton has also won several awards including nine Emmy Awards and the Governor’s Award. Whenever he is not busy working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He also enjoys spending time at the pool, hosting events, hiking, and exploring Arizona.
