She joined the station in the fall of 2018. She began her career in May of 2017 in Waco, Texas serving as the weekend morning meteorologist.

Capps is a Weekend morning meteorologist at KDFW-TV FOX 4 on Good Day Saturday and Good Day Sunday. She says when she was 8 years old, she told her parents that she wanted to be a meteorologist. Not only that but also told them that she was going to be a meteorologist in Dallas. For her, it is a dream come true.
Growing up Kylie established a fascination with the broadcast meteorologists that they watched during severe weather outbreaks. She would be glued to the TV, with a weather radio in hand, just in case they lost power. She made sure that her parents and siblings knew their severe weather safety plan, even if the forecast called for a slight chance of rain.
While attending college in Oklahoma which is the severe weather hub of the United States, Capps was fortunate enough to learn how to forecast under extreme weather circumstances. Kylie landed her first job in May of 2017 which took her to Waco, Texas, and served as the weekend morning meteorologist. After starting her job, in less than two months Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas coast.
When the outer bands swept across central Texas, Kylie was thrown into the fire covering countless tornado warnings and overnight flooding threats for their southeastern counties. She was also able to experience “Texas” ice storms while in Waco, and let’s not forget about the severe weather season. Waco was an incredible place to start her career. During her free time, she enjoys volunteering at her church, finding new restaurants, watching college football, working out, reading, and meeting every dog on the block.
