He went to Brandeis University where he attained his Cum Laude honors in history in 1977. Keller serves as a political analyst at WBZ-TV/ CBS Boston in Massachusetts. He is also the host of “Keller @ Large” which is aired at 5 and 6 p.m. on WBZ-TV News and his commentaries are also seen on weekday mornings at 5:30 a.m. on WBZ This Morning. Prior to working at WBZ-TV, he worked at WLVI-TV in Boston where he served as a Political Analyst for “The Ten O’Clock News” for 14 years.
Prior to working at WLVI-TV, he worked op-ed columnist for The Boston Globe, columnist and editor for The Tab Newspapers, and chief political reporter for The Boston Phoenix. Some of his freelance writing has been shown in the New Republic, the Wall Street Journal, and the Chicago Tribune among many others. He has also won several awards and honors including eleven New England Emmy Awards for reporting and commentary. Boston Magazine’s annual “Best of Boston” issue named Jon “Best TV Political Analyst” twice.
