Jerod Smalley is an American journalist who is working for WCMH-TV as sports director at NBC4 since 2006. Also, he serves as an anchor for NBC4 at 5 p.m. since July 2022. He joined the NBC 4 Sports team at NBC4 in 2004. Upon joining the station in 2004, he initially served as a weekend sports anchor till June 2006. “I have had two strokes. I can’t, I can’t believe that I can say that I’m a stroke survivor because I don’t feel like it. I feel good, I really do. I feel healthy,” Smalley voiced. . Fortunately, the stroke did not cause long-lasting damage but it led to the discovery of a hole in his heart. Moreover, he underwent a subcutaneous procedure in early September 2018.
