Sherrod serves as a news anchor and reporter at FOX17 based in West Michigan. She went to the University of Michigan-Flint where she attained her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast journalism. After Sherrod graduated from college, she joined a station based in Alpena, Michigan where she started off by serving as a producer, reporter, and anchor. During her tenure in Alpena, Michigan, she also assisted in creating Field Trip Friday exploring Northern Michigan.
Prior to working at FOX17, she worked at WNEM-TV based in Bay City, Michigan where she served as a traffic reporter and morning anchor. While still working at WNEM-TV, she also served as the 9 a.m. anchor as well as the weekend night anchor. Over the years, she has enclosed several stories including a deadly home explosion that shocked the whole country as well as the water crisis.
