Starks serves at WTVG Channel 13 as a Morning News Anchor. Before joining the station, he served at 13 ON YOUR SIDE in Grand Rapids, Michigan as a Morning News Anchor for 2 years and 4 months. Before that, Starks worked for KPRC Local 2 in Houston, Texas as a Sports Anchor/Reporter for 1 year and 7 months. He has served at USA TODAY in the Columbia area, South Carolina as a Correspondent for a year.
While in college, Starks played football where he was a 2-time All-American at defensive back. Starks signed a free-agent contract with the Cincinnati Bengals in the year 2008. There, he got injured. He however continued to play football overseas in Italy. Starks has served at Playworks in Houston, Texas as a Board Member for 3 years.
Starks has always been passionate about journalism since he was young. He used to watch ESPN’s “Sports Center with Stuart Scott” while growing up. He began his career as a sports anchor, where he reported on events such as the NFL Draft, NBA playoffs, NCAA bowl games, and many others. Starks loves giving back to the community when he is not at work. He also likes rooting for Manchester United, working out in the gym, or hanging out with his family during his free time.
