Geftos serve at WTVG Channel 13 as an evening news reporter and anchor. He began co-anchoring the Action News at 4 PM alongside Christina Williams in September 2021. Geftos also reports the 13abc Action News at 11 p.m. Before joining the station, he worked for the Silent City of Rocks National Reserve in Idaho as an interpretive ranger. There he was responsible for contributing to the Times-News in Twin Falls, Idaho.

He has served at KGWC-TV in Casper, Wyoming as a news reporter, and at KKFX-TV in Santa Barbara, California as a news anchor/reporter. He holds 3 Emmy Awards for his journalism work. For a year (2018-2019), Geftos served as the president of the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors.

Besides working as a journalist, Geftos has also been serving as an adjunct instructor at The University of Toledo since August 2012, where he teaches Public Presentations, Writing for Media, and Television Production. He has also served as a Board Member of the Ohio Associated Press and the Lower Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. During his leisure, he likes to emcee at a variety of fundraisers, play alto saxophone in the Polish American Concert Band, and hang out with his family and friends.
