He had previously spent 2 years working at WCCO-TV based in Colorado where he served as a meteorologist from January 2009 to December 2010.
Since he started his journalism career, he has covered several extreme weather events including Super Storm Sandy. He also enclosed Hurricane Irene which made landfall in The Outer Banks, North Carolina as well as tornadoes on two different days.
