He serves his church and community with organizations, including INROADS, Inc., Special Olympics, United States Armed Forces, and Muscular Dystrophy Association. Haynes was awarded the “Media Recognition Award” and the “Outstanding Leadership Award,” for his fight against domestic violence with the Love Life Now Foundation, as well as for his work with the Pregnant and Parenting Teens Program, respectively.
He launched a Junior Broadcast Program in the year 2007, which assisted countless aspiring journalists to achieve their ambitions in the industry of media. Haynes is also a motivator and his motivational speeches assist many people to use personal power and increase confidence to activate their ideal life. He serves as a host of seminars across the nation, where he motivates and teaches both college and high school students to never give up on their ambitions. Haynes also serves the Second Chance Prison Ministry by assisting in creating a plan for success for inmates at recovery houses and local prisons. He is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
