Simms serves WAGA as a multimedia journalist. She joined the FOX 5 Atlanta team in December 2014. Even so, she debuted her career while serving in Macon at ABC Macon News where she worked as a reporter and a managing director.
Further, she went on to serve in Wilmington, North Carolina at WECT-TV as a reporter and a weekend anchor. To boot, she served in Jacksonville, Florida at First Coast News as a morning reporter for 2 years and a month since January 2011.
Prior to WAGA, she served the an Emmy and two Georgia Association of Broadcasters Awards in 2014.
On a side note, while she was in the fifth grade, a WAGA-TV reporter interviewed her at Westchester Elementary School. Also, in that span of time, she served as an anchorman in the school play. In her free time, she enjoys baking, spending time with her husband and family as well as working out.
