Roth serves as the sports anchor of the 5, 6, and 10 pm sportscast of WBAY-TV based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Since joining WBAY-TV, he has served in different roles including hosting Super Bowl XLV, the WBAY’s Packers programs Monday Night Kickoff, and Tuesday Night Touchback. Upon joining WBAY-TV, he started off by serving as a sports director from 1999 to 2020.
Since he started his journalism career, he has won several awards and honors including from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, the Milwaukee Press Club, a regional Edward R. Murrow award, and the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association. He has also covered several major sports events including the MLB All-Star Game, Super Bowls, four PGA Championships, and the NBA Playoffs. He has also interviewed many sports personalities including Tiger Woods as well as Michael Jordan.
Prior to working at SWBAY-TV, he worked at WISN-TV (ABC) in Milwaukee where he served as a reporter for 4 years. During his tenure at WISN-TV (ABC), he enclosed both Super Bowl XXXI and XXXII. He kickstarted his journalism career working at a station in Milwaukee where he served as an anchor and reporter. He was later given a raise and started serving as a sports director as well as worked on the state broadcasts of the WIAA Girls and Boys State Basketball Tournaments.
