After the videos went viral, Activist of Fighting Injustice Together and Black Lives Matter, Bruce Wilson publicized that he talked to Amy and Mike and stated that both Amy and Mike seemed apologetic.

After the backlash she received, Gracie apologized stating “There is absolutely no excuse for anything that came out of my mouth and I can only imagine the pain the people felt when watching those videos,” Amy also posted an apology video on her social media accounts asking for forgiveness on behalf of her daughter.
