Aaron is a lifelong Nebraskan, hailing from Fremont. During his time at UNL, he initially pursued a computer science major but found himself yearning for the storytelling he had engaged in during his high school newspaper days. Consequently, he shifted his focus to data journalism at UNL, ultimately graduating in 2019 with a journalism degree, along with minors in informatics, political science, and mathematics.
In his leisure hours, Aaron can often be found catching up on Huskers news, enjoying podcasts, or immersing himself in the beauty of nature. His professional experience includes serving as a Data Journalism/Legislative Fellow at the Omaha World-Herald from August 2018 to May 2019, and he also worked as a Reporting and Data Journalism Fellow at the Omaha World-Herald from August 2017 to May 2018.
