Tyler Allender is an American meteorologist who is working for WTVM-TV as a weekday morning meteorologist. He joined the WTVM Storm 9 team in December 2021.

Tyler Allender Career
Allender serves WTVM as a weekday meteorologist. He joined the WTVM Storm 9 team in December 2021. Further, he has been an ardent weather fan since he was 5 years old, maybe younger. When he was 8, he served as a presenter of weather forecasts on closed-circuit TV for students and staff at his elementary school in south Florida.
During his streak in high school, Mike Lyons, a meteorologist in West Palm Beach, took him under his wing and assisted him to follow his dream. During the 2004 and 2005 hurricane seasons, his interest in weather was solidified. Upon his graduation, he went on to serve WJHG/WECP in Panama City Beach for 4 years and 6 months.
While there, he assisted pilot the audience through one of the worst hurricanes in U.S. history, Hurricane Michael. Category five Hurricane Michael devastated the Panhandle and even affected parts of Georgia and Alabama. For several days, he stayed at the station and briefed residents before, during, and after the storm.
Further, he served WJHL in Johnson City for three years. During the first day of his employment, he reported within 10 inches of snow. Additionally, he enjoys the community, interacting on social media, and teaching students about the weather by visiting schools. When he is not working, he loves cheering on the Noles, traveling, eating at local restaurants, and exploring the outdoors.
