Prior to working at WWTV, he worked at WBNG-TV based in Binghamton, New York where he served as the morning/noon Meteorologist from May 1997 to May 2004. While still working at WBNG-TV, he started off by serving as a weekend reporter and meteorologist where he produced and anchored the weekend broadcasts. Moreover, he also reported and created about the weather at local schools and community organizations.
Prior to working at WBNG-TV, he worked at stations in New York City where he served as a Chief meteorologist based in Watertown and served as a weather producer and fill-in meteorologist at the station in Rochester, New York. O’Hare owns the Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Designation or CBM. He is also an active member of the American Meteorological Society. Since he started his career as a meteorologist, he has received many awards and honors including the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and The Michigan Associated Press.
