Previously before WGN-TV, he worked for almost ten years at Q13 News (KCPQ-TV) in Seattle as a meteorologist and reporter. While in the station his duties also included being Chief Meteorologist for their Portland sister station, CW32 TV (KRCW-TV).
Tim also reported on transportation, environmental, and quality-of-life issues. He previously held various meteorologist positions at KIRO 7 News in Seattle, KOIN Local 6 News in Portland, KTMR NewsSource 16, and KVAL 13 in Eugene, Oregon. He got started his broadcasting taste at Oak Park & River Forest High School from the NewsScene television program where he served as a writer, producer, and on-air commentator.
