“We were lucky to have debris in our yard but no damage to our new home. That incident stayed with me and sparked my fascination with the weather,” Tom shared. Growing up in Oklahoma, experiencing extreme weather was commonplace and sometimes even a form of entertainment. Whether it was a tornado approaching the Oklahoma City metro area or on the outskirts of the state, people would tune in to storm coverage from all over. Tom arrives in Springfield after spending 2 years in Topeka, KS, where he reported on everything from snow and ice to severe wind storms and tornadoes.
“I have many cherished memories of family vacations in Branson and I’m excited to explore the area further,” Tom expressed. Tom enjoys hiking, fishing, playing the piano, and seldom declines an evening by the fire. He also has a passion for classic cars and is thrilled to be back near Route 66.
