She also worked as a host for CAN-TV where she conducted interviews with Chicagoans about topics impacting the community.
Taylor also attended the University of Indianapolis. While there she served at WICR-FM as the news director. She anchored weekly radio newscasts, assigned reporters with beats, and led the team’s election coverage during the 2020 pandemic. While working part-time at WISH-TV during her senior year she managed to balance her time as a news director.
Woods credits her internship at WISH-TV for molding her into a multimedia journalist. Her internship began in the summer of 2020 where she learned how to cover a wide range of stories. She took advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow. That’s when she was offered a part-time position to write content for the web and evening newscasts. She even conducted interviews that aired during the night show.
She is a big foodie and loves trying new restaurants. During her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends or serving in the community. In addition she is most passionate about community and advocacy. She enjoys bringing people and their untold stories to the forefront.
