He came to Columbia in 2020 when he started his Master’s Degree at MU and has grown to love this community that welcomed him with open arms. He has always loved storytelling. Freeman got his undergraduate degree in Film & Media Production from Arizona State University. With filmmaking as his foundation, he likes to challenge himself when shooting for the news to make his visuals more cinematic and interesting to watch. Freeman worked as a Teacher Assistant at the University of Missouri-Columbia from August 2020 to December 2022.
Additionally, he worked as a Social Roofing and Marketing Director at Kansas City, Contact from June 2020 to August 2020. He also worked as a Video Producer and Editor as a freelance in the Greater Los Angeles area From January 2016 to August 2019. In his free time, he enjoys working out, riding his motorcycle, and playing board games. As a native Californian growing up at the beach, he was barefoot most of the time, which he has been known to do here and there while anchoring at the desk (just don’t tell the news director that).
