Dial is a reporter for KDFW-TV Fox 4 News. His first reporting job was at WLTX in Columbia, South Carolina. While at WLTX he won an Edward R. Murrow Award for his reporting on concussions in middle and high schools.
Steven began working with First Coast News in Jacksonville, Florida in the year 2015. While there he covered the church shooting in Charleston, Hurricane Matthew, the Pulse Nightclub mass shooting, and the 2016 presidential campaign of Donald Trump. Dial managed to win an Emmy for his reporting on coaching salaries and education in 2016.
Following Jacksonville, Steven worked at KSHB in Kansas City, Missouri as a reporter. He covered politics in Kansas and Missouri while enjoying some great BBQ. During Gov. Eric Greiten’s sex scandal and resignation, Dial worked as the lead reporter and also covered historic floods and multiple tornados.
Mentoring is important to him. He has been a “big” with Big Brothers Big Sisters in multiple states since 2011. Dial is proud of his Atlanta roots and sports teams, his personal passion is covering politics. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists.
