Prior to joining the 9News team, he was working for WCIA-TV in Springfield, Champaign, Illinois serving the station as a Capitol Bureau Chief between February 2012 and March 2014. Prior to this, he was working for the station as a Springfield Bureau Reporter a role he undertook between February 2010 and February 2012. In his tenure at the station, he was covering the state’s decision to abolish the death penalty, the state’s looming budget problems, and legalizing civil unions and then same-sex marriage.
She has also covered the corruption trial and re-trial of former Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich and followed the former governor to FCI Englewood serving a 14-year sentence. This is in addition to traveling to Tampa, Florida, and Charlotte, North Carolina in order to cover the 2012 Republican and Democratic National Conventions.
Aside from this, he spent election night in 2012 at President Obama’s Chicago election headquarters. his investigative reporting earned him a regional Emmy nomination. He also covered a story on strange out-of-state food stamp spending that sparked a resolution on the floor of the Illinois House of Representatives.
Previously, he also worked for WDIV-TV in Detroit, Michigan serving the station as an Associate Producer. There, she worked between May 2008 and February 2010. Prior to this, she was working for The Oakland Post serving the team as a Senior Reporter. She undertook this role between January 2008 and May 2008.
