Jordan Chavez is an American Anchor/Reporter working for 9News in Denver, Colorado as a News Reporter ad Anchor. He joined the station in March 2017. Prior to this, he was working for KAMR serving the station as a Weekend Anchor / Reporter.

Previously, he was working for KAMR, an NBC Affiliate in Amarillo, Texas where he served the station as a Weekday Anchor and General Assignment Reporter. He served the station between June 2014 and February 2017. During his time at the station, he covered everything from political stories to breaking news which included a capital murder trial and an active shooter inside a Walmart. Both of these garnered him national attention.
As for his education, Chavez attended Texas State University where he studied between 2010 and 2014. there, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Electronic Media and Mass Communication. He is usually naturally curious about the world around him. This is a trait that ultimately led to his decision to become a journalist. Aside from this, he has what could be described as a “news nerd.” He is also constantly checking his phone for updates about stories happening around his community and across the globe.
He embarrassingly admits that his DVR is almost full of recordings on NBC Nightly News. Being a proud Veteran, he is happy to now call Colorado home. Away from work, he enjoys exploring beautiful mountains, rivers, and excellent breweries.
