Ryan Hennessy is an American Anchor/Reporter/Director working for WVTM13 in Birmingham, Alabama, in the United States as a sports director. He joined the station in July 2020. He previously worked at WTVY-TV CBS/NBC in Dothan, Alabama Area as a sports anchor and reporter before joining the station.

After graduating from college, Ryan worked for two years as a Sports Reporter and Anchor at WTVY in Dothan, Alabama. While in Dothan, he covered teams including Auburn, Florida State, Alabama, Troy, and local high school sports. While covering Alabama in 2019 he was lucky enough to cover a College Football Playoff National Championship. Hennessy is passionate about local sports and is excited to be in central Alabama to tell stories at WVTM.
