Drewes works for KITV News as a meteorologist. He predicts the weather on the weekends at 5, 6, and 10. Drewes was brought up in Florida and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting.
He has worked as a weatherman for more than 20 years. Drewes worked as a TV news and sports reporter in Oregon after starting off in radio. In the early 1990s, he moved to Hilo which brought him back to radio, and spent three years on the Big Island reporting news and sports.
