While in the station his love for politics grew after covering the state senate coup in Albany.
After graduating, Marina decided to try her luck in Spanish, reporting and anchoring at Univision Orlando. While there she was able to sit down and interview Senator Marco Rubio and former Florida Governor Charlie Crist as they ran against each other in primaries. Still while at the station Casey Anthony went on trial for the murder of her 2-year-old daughter.
Marraco also covered the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa and the trial gavel to gavel for Univision Network. Afterward, she took a job at WESH-TV where she covered portions of the trial as soon as the George Zimmerman trial was about to get underway in Sanford.
