Ray works with WFTV Channel 9 News where he anchors the Eyewitness News This Morning on Saturdays and Sundays. Asides from this, he also serves the station as an Investigative Reporter for the 9 Investigatives unit. Prior to joining the WFTV News team, he was working on the Southwest Florida coast after spending two and a half years.
It is through her work as an Investigative Reporter in the Fort Myers market that exposed a billing dispute that may have led to a man’s death. It also led to sweeping changes at Naples Community Health. She also brought viewers the story of Aaron Edwards during the 2012 legislative session in Tallahassee. This was as the boy fought to have claims bills passed following an injury at Lee Memorial Health.
This $15-million bill became the second-largest judgment awarded through the Florida legislature. Asides from this, her coverage earned her an Emmy nomination in the fall of 2012 and a regional Edward R. Murrow award in the spring of 2013.
Prior to making a move to Florida, she was working in the Black Hills of South Dakota for CBS affiliate KELO-TV. When she was cutting her teeth in the news business, she did everything from reporting to shooting video, producing, anchoring, and editing.
Asides from this, she was solely responsible for KELO-TV’s western South Dakota coverage, keeping tabs on 19 counties in two time zones. During her free time, she also works as a photographer. She states that she is happy to now have endless scenery to capture in sunny Florida.
