Tom Terry is an American Emmy-Award-Winning Meteorologist working for WFTV/WRDQ Channel 9/27 ABC/Indy in Orlando, Florida as a Chief Meteorologist. He joined the station in April 2002.

Terry works with WFTV/Channel 9 News where he serves the station as a Chief Meteorologist. He was raised in rural Oklahoma where he formed a special passion for weather and has spent his life pursuing all types of weather from hurricanes to tornadoes. Terry states that his years of experience and training were used during the devastating hurricane season of the year 2004.
He states that Hurricane Charley brought Centra Florida its first hurricane in over 40 years. For him, this was the most intense landfilling tropical system he has ever covered. He states that this did not stop there as Central Florida would be hit by two more hurricanes “Frances” and “Jeanne.” He further stated that they would not just let up on them.
Prior to joining the WFTV team, he was working with WKMG News 6 where he served the station as a Meteorologist between June 1996 and April 2002. Asides from this, he has worked with KBMT/K-JAC 12News in Beaumont-Port Arthur Area. There, he served the station as a Chief Meteorologist between October 1993 and June 1996. Asides from this, he has worked with Channel 6 Kris-TV in Corpus Christi, Texas, United States where he was serving the station as a Meteorologist between September 1991 and October 1993.
Away from work, he enjoys spending time at home with his family. Asides from this, he also loves working on his Mustang and collecting old horror movies. He is a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma where he obtained a Degree in Meteorology. Asides from this, he holds the “Seal of Approval” from the American Meteorological Society.
